fyeahroleplayingrabbit: Look, we get it. It stinks to hear someone saying that ‘they’re too intimidated to roleplay with you’. But have you ever considered this from their perspective? Do you have any idea of how terrifying it can be even attempting to roleplay with someone who is just so much better? How much a punch in the gut and self-confidence it can be attempting to plot and just seeing it crumble because you can’t follow the pace?  I mean, this is like walking up to a professional and trying to show your mediocre abilities. You know you look absolutely ridiculous and no matter what the professional say you will feel stupid. So please, stop complaining. It just makes it all the worse. i think this is a steaming pile of bullshit tbqh and before i get anon hate hear me out people need to stop putting other people up on pedestals because of their art or their writing or whatever it is because do you have any idea how lonely it is up on mount olympus with all the “mere mortals” too terrified to approach you? so even though you’re “”“”super quality”“”“” you never get any interaction apart from a few people because everyone else is too busy putting themselves down to even give it a chance using your professional/mediocre analogy here, how the hell are you ever going to improve if you just show your work to people with roughly the same skill level as you? the answer is you won’t. rp with people with different skill sets, get out of your comfort zones and put yourself out there. you can do it buddy, it’s not that hard. just send an ask in character about something. ANYTHING. one of my friends’ fantrolls constantly has the munchies and asks everyone for pizza. some great friendships/relationships with my characters sprung from random encounters like that. seriously. instead of being frustrated over rping, we should all enjoy it together. because isn’t that what we came on here to do in the first place?
